From Athens Airport to Lavrio Port

Take a taxi or Uber/FreeNow from Athens International Airport to Lavrio port. The journey is about 50 to 60 minutes and costs roughly 60 euro. You can also arrange a taxi through your hotel if you are stopping in Athens first.

Ferry from Lavrio to Kea

Ferries run between Lavrio on the Attica mainland and Korissia, the main port on Kea. The crossing takes about 1 hour. Book your tickets in advance at ferryhopper.com or ferryscanner.com and get e-tickets to avoid queues.

From Korissia to Koundouros

Once you are off the ferry at Korissia, the villa in Koundouros is about a 30 minute drive. The road winds through the hills, so a GPS or maps app helps.

A Word on Getting Around

A car on Kea is strongly recommended. The island is small but spread out, and the beaches and villages are not walkable from each other. See the Getting around Kea guide for rental tips.
